The Playing Academy — Gary Cooke PGA Professional — Last updated May 2025
These terms and conditions apply to all coaching services, lessons, programmes, golf schools, clinics and fittings provided by Gary Cooke trading as The Playing Academy, Whalebone Lane Golf Club, Whalebone Lane North, Chadwell Heath, Essex RM6 6SB.
By booking any service with The Playing Academy, you agree to these terms in full. Please read them carefully before booking.
All bookings are subject to availability. A booking is confirmed only when Gary has confirmed it directly with you — by phone, email or in person.
For golf school bookings, payment is required at the time of booking via Progenda. For all other sessions, payment is due before or at the time of the session.
Block booking fees are paid upfront in full at the time of purchase. Block booking sessions must be used within 3 months of the purchase date. Unused sessions after this period are forfeited.
Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours before the scheduled session. Cancellations made with less than 48 hours' notice will result in the loss of the session fee.
The only exception is cancellation supported by a doctor's confirmation letter, in which case a full refund or rescheduled session will be offered at Gary's discretion.
More than 7 days prior to the school: Full refund.
3 to 7 days prior to the school: 50% refund, or transfer to the next available school date at Gary's discretion.
Within 72 hours of the school: No refund.
The only exception to the above is cancellation supported by a doctor's confirmation letter. Gary reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a school due to insufficient bookings or circumstances beyond his control, in which case a full refund will be offered.
Payment is accepted by cash (in person only, prior to the session), card (on-site) or bank transfer. Golf school bookings are paid via Progenda at the time of booking. Online coaching is paid via the relevant platform (Skillest or OnForm). Junior group programme payments are made in person, by card or by bank transfer — not via online platforms.
All prices are as published on the website at the time of booking. Gary reserves the right to amend pricing at any time, with changes applying to new bookings only.
All participants are expected to behave respectfully toward Gary and other participants at all times. Gary reserves the right to end a session and decline future bookings from any individual who behaves in a manner deemed inappropriate or disrespectful.
Participants are responsible for their own health and fitness. It is your responsibility to inform Gary of any medical conditions, injuries or physical limitations before a session begins. Gary accepts no liability for injury arising from pre-existing conditions not disclosed prior to the session.
Junior participants (under 18) must have written consent from a parent or guardian before attending any session. Parents and guardians are responsible for ensuring their junior is fit and able to participate. Gary reserves the right to refuse participation if he has concerns about a junior's readiness or safety.
Gary Cooke and The Playing Academy accept no liability for loss, damage or injury sustained during any session, except where this results directly from Gary's negligence. Participants attend sessions at their own risk and are responsible for their own equipment and personal belongings.
All coaching materials, programmes, methodologies and content produced by Gary Cooke and The Playing Academy remain the intellectual property of Gary Cooke. They may not be reproduced, shared or used commercially without written permission.
Gary reserves the right to update these terms at any time. The current version will always be available on this website. Continued use of The Playing Academy's services constitutes acceptance of the current terms.
